2. The information we collect
2.1 Information you provide directly
- Account information — email address, display name, password (hashed), and optional profile photo when you create an account in one of our apps.
- In-app content — entries you create (for example, journal entries in FirstChapter; prayer and habit tracking entries in Hayya), photos and videos you add, and notes you write.
- Voice recordings — for FirstChapter, the voice memos you record to be transcribed and transformed into journal entries by our AI.
- Support communications — the contents of messages you send us, including email and support tickets.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data — device model, operating system version, app version, coarse language/region, crash logs, and diagnostic information needed to keep the apps reliable.
- Approximate location — with your permission, Hayya uses your location to calculate accurate prayer times. We do not track your location in the background.
- Log data — IP address, request timestamps, and basic routing metadata generated when your app talks to our servers. We retain this only for debugging and abuse prevention.
2.3 Information from third parties
- Sign-in providers — if you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email address and a unique identifier per the provider's terms. We do not receive your password.
- Payment providers — if you purchase a subscription, Stripe and RevenueCat provide us with transaction confirmation and subscription status. We never receive or store your full payment card details.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use your content to train third-party AI models without your explicit consent.
4. How we share information
We share information only with the limited set of service providers we need to run the apps, under contracts that require them to protect your data:
- Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure.
- Apple & Google — platform sign-in, notifications, and app distribution.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- RevenueCat — subscription management.
- AI providers — for FirstChapter's voice-to-journal features, the specific content you submit is sent to our AI provider to produce the output. We do not send unrelated personal data, and we do not allow the provider to retain your content for their own model training.
- Crash and performance monitoring — anonymized diagnostic data is sent to tools such as Sentry to help us fix bugs.
We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Solvesoft, our users, or the public.
If Solvesoft is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, you will be notified before any personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. How long we keep your information
We keep your account and in-app content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it (for example, tax and billing records) or where it is retained in de-identified form for security and analytics.
6. How we protect your information
- Data is transmitted over TLS/HTTPS.
- Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms; we never store them in plaintext.
- Data at rest is encrypted by our infrastructure providers.
- Access to user data is limited to the small number of Solvesoft personnel who need it to operate or support the services, and is logged.
No system is perfectly secure, so we also encourage you to use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication where supported.
